TGE and Teacake come together to produce two banging new tracks. “3Jane” is filled with glitched out vocals and hard beats, while “White Ash” is a more somber track that brings the tempo down a bit to finish this release smoothly. Both tracks express a deep synergy between the unique sounds of The Gray Earl and Teacake, and it’s at times difficult to distinguish where the influence of one ends and the other begins.

A newcomer to NOL, Graywave is one of those producers that seems to effortlessly leap from style to style in his exploration of sound, causing genres and influences to bleed into one another in the process with the end result being a truly unique product. “I Knew It (I Love You)” pairs crunching Rhythmic Noise beats with a sparse melody that’s almost haunting, creating an atmosphere thick with tension. “Hello, My Name is Anna” combines more crunchy goodness with metallic howls, growling subs, disjointed computerized dialogue, and a disturbingly cheery piano melody. Graywave is a new producer worth keeping and eye on!

NOL004 delivers two fresh new tracks by The Gray Earl. “And Soul” is a haunting future garage track that combines low subs with ethereal bell chimes and distorted vocals. “Deprivation” continues where The Gray Earl left off with NOL001, further exploring the world of post-dubstep with an end result that consists of dreary gloom hiding a hint of reluctant optimism, and of coarse, tons of heavy sub bass.

This EP features two remixes of Teacake’s “Crusher.” Side A, remixed by Faith in the Glitch, a booming, glitched-out drumstep track that brings a balanced blend of pumping beats and high-energy craziness, that later explodes into rolling dnb. Track AA, remixed by Vektr, brings a light-hearted synthpop interpretation of the track that will get anyone moving.

Teacake combines rnb beats with growling baselines and heavy dance synths, with a subtle nod to the emerging drag music scene. This release contains both the original mix of the title track, as well as the longer “Full-length” version. “Crusher” touches on what we’ve all had and taken for granted, and the sting that comes in realizing this fact all too late.

The first ever NOL release! This EP features one remix and one original track by The Gray Earl. Both tracks demonstrate an explorations into the realms of dub, dubtechno, and traditional dubstep. Track A is a remix of Vektr’s single “Righteous Dude” that takes the high energy electro track and reinterprets it as something far darker, with painfully calm dub beats, and hauntingly distorted bass. On the flip-side, “Ember Dub” has a straight dubtronica sound with a steadiness that speaks of humble optimism and staying the course.
